Residential Program

Newly Updated Resdients Hall

Newly renovated residents hall!

The Residential Program at Jefferson Trail is led by a staff of trained professionals committed to providing residents with a safe and supportive environment in which to grow and learn. Our Mental Health Technicians receive a week-long training seminar prior starting work. They study de-escalation techniques, group therapy theory, behavior management, treatment risks, therapeutic boundaries, power struggles, and discipline with dignity. In addition, the Mental Health Technicians participate in weekly in-service trainings. Each in-service training includes a group supervision by staff members at every level who interact with the children and covers current issues faced by staff and residents alike.

Jefferson Trail is dedicated to moving into the future with innovative, comprehensive and proactive staff training programs.

Nutrition

Newly Updated Resdients Hall

Comfortable, personal rooms!

At Jefferson Trail we recognize that physical health and mental health are closely related. We provide our residents with three nutritious meals and several nutritious snacks each day. A certified nutritionist provides nutritional counseling. Our nutritionist meets individually with children who are at risk of health issues due to obesity or their current diet. The nutritionist also conducts group programs that emphasize healthy eating habits so that children can reduce their risk of health problems while in treatment and to help them gain lifelong healthy eating habits.

Nursing

Jefferson Trail is staffed with nurses 24/7. Our trained nursing staff often serves as a triage to meet ancillary medical issues and is available to meet with residents 24/7. Our skilled nursing staff members are an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment teams. They both present and monitor medically pertinent information for our residents.
