Brad Manning

Brad Manning, M.D. - Psychiatrist

Dr. Manning grew up in Charlottesville, Va. He earned his bachelor's from Harvard University and his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed training in child and adolescent psychiatry in 2007 and has also studied child and family psychotherapy at the Tavistock Center in London. He has practiced medication management and psychotherapy with children and adolescents in hospitals, Treatment Centers and private practice. brad.manning@psysolutions.com

Ben Lyons

Ben Lyons - Director of Utilization Review

Ben is a certified substance abuse counselor and a national certified addiction counselor at the advanced level. He has provided services to substance abuse and mental health childs for more than 20 years. Ben has worked with adults, adolescents and families in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, residential and private practice. Ben maintains responsibility for treatment planning and the utilization review process. ben.lyons@psysolutions.com

Claire Hutchinson

Claire Hutchinson - Director of Nursing

Claire was born in New York and moved south as a child. Her specialty is psychiatric nursing, and she has worked in acute care adult and child/adolescent units. She moved to a farm in Buckingham County about a year and a half ago. She and her husband have four children, one grandson, five horses, five dogs, a peacock, cats and guinea hens. Walter Smith

Walter Smith - Admissions Coordinator

Walter has several years of experience working with children and adolescents. Walter has worked in a variety of capacities at Jefferson Trail, including mental health specialist, utilization review and currently admissions coordinator. walter.smith@psysolutions.com

Jennifer Kincaid

Jennifer Kincaid - Director of Human Resources

Jennifer has a certificate in early childhood education from Piedmont Community College and is currently completing her bachelor's in sociology at Mary Baldwin College. Jennifer has 17 years of experience in human resources. jennifer.kincaid@psysolutions.com

Brenda Ratcliff

Brenda Ratcliff, Ph.D. - Director of Business Development

Dr. Ratcliff obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from VPI & SU - Virginia Tech. She is a Licensed Applied Psychologist and is certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America with a specialty in QEEG/Neurofeedback. She has taught and conducted research at the university level, has operated a private practice, has overseen program development, and has held office in national neuroscience organizations. She enjoys the opportunity to bring clinical perspective to the business development activities at Jefferson Trail.

Tammy Johnston

Tammy Johnston MSW, LCSW - Director of Clinical Services

Tammy obtained her B.A. from UVA with a concentration in psychology. She obtained her Master’s Degree in social work from West Virginia University. She has certificates in trauma and healthcare administration from the University of Maryland. She has been in the healthcare field for over 10 years and worked as a clinician specializing in trauma victims (children and adults). Tammy has worked treating adolescent sexually reactive and/or sex offenders and has finished the didactic portion of CSOTP licensure. She was Director of Psychiatric Day Program and Director of Residential Services for chronically mentally ill adults. She has been with PSI since May 2006.

Kathleen Gentry

Dr. Kathleen Gentry - Director of Education

Dr. Gentry has a doctorate in education and a postgraduate professional license in Middle School Math and High School Government. She has worked with at-risk, exceptional children for many years. In addition, she has taught middle and high school as well as in various colleges and universities, including G.E.D preparation. She loves to mentor children in order to help them find their “untapped potential”. She has strong Christian values, enjoys reading, educational research, spending time with family and friends, and helping others.
