Substance Abuse Treatment Program
Jefferson Trail’s Substance Abuse Treatment Program is a safe, secured program for males 13-17 with substance use or abuse as a primary diagnosis. A secondary diagnosis is not required. Residents receive 24/7 nursing care and medication management and psychiatric care by a board-certified psychiatrist.
Jefferson Trail has built its Substance Abuse Treatment Program on evidence-based models of effective substance abuse/use treatment. Those models show that the best efficacy is achieved by an eclectic combination of approaches which use group therapy but also target the individual in a culturally sensitive, holistic manner.
